Cookies analytics and advertising

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for website functionality, preferences, security, analytics, and advertising. These technologies may recognize a browser or device across sessions and, where permitted, across websites or services.

The website may use Shopify technologies, Klaviyo tracking, and Meta Pixel. The website administrator must confirm all active technologies and configure the site's cookie and privacy controls for the jurisdictions served. You may use available cookie settings and browser controls. Blocking some technologies may affect website functions.

Where required, we will honor legally recognized opt out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending the signal. A browser's general Do Not Track setting may not operate in the same way as a legally recognized opt out signal.

How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to service providers and contractors that support hosting, e commerce, payment processing, fraud prevention, shipping, communications, marketing, scheduling, forms, analytics, information technology, professional advice, and customer service. We may also disclose information:

  • At your direction or with your consent
  • To complete a transaction or provide a service you requested
  • To comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request
  • To investigate fraud, security incidents, violations, or threats to rights and safety
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of business assets
  • To our professional advisers, insurers, accountants, and legal counsel as appropriate

Depending on how advertising and analytics tools are configured, certain disclosures involving cookies or identifiers may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, we provide required notices and opt out methods.

Marketing communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in the message. You may opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions in the message. Transactional and service communications may continue when needed to administer an order, appointment, repair, warranty request, or account. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchase unless clearly stated and legally permitted.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including order fulfillment, customer service, warranty and repair history, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Retention periods vary by the type of information, legal requirements, and operational need. We may retain deidentified information where permitted by law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

No security measure or transmission method is completely secure. Please use caution when sending valuable or sensitive information and do not send payment card details by ordinary email.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a decision. You may also have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. Submit a request to jordan@skydogjewelry.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and verification from the consumer. If an appeal right applies, reply to our decision and state that you are appealing.

Providing these request methods does not mean every privacy law applies to SKYDOG or to every request. We will respond as required by applicable law.

California privacy notice

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act if SKYDOG is subject to that law. The categories of personal information we may collect include identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic activity; approximate geolocation; audio, visual, and similar information; professional information supplied in a business interaction; and inferences from preferences or activity. We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described above.

SKYDOG does not sell personal information for money. Advertising and analytics disclosures may be considered sale or sharing under California law depending on configuration. If applicable, use the site's privacy choices control or contact us to opt out. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Canadian residents

If Canadian privacy law applies, we process personal information with consent or another lawful basis and limit collection, use, disclosure, and retention to appropriate purposes. You may request access or correction, withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual restrictions, or ask questions about our practices by contacting us. Personal information may be processed in the United States or another country where our providers operate and may be subject to local law.

Children

The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Third party websites and services

Links to third party websites and services are governed by those parties' privacy practices. We encourage you to review their notices. SKYDOG is not responsible for third party practices outside our control.
