- How did you meet?

We met while hanging out with mutual friends during the weird and wild year of 2020. After talking all afternoon, Alex nervously asked me for my number before I left and we went on a date the next week. On our first date at a wine bar, I (Alice) ordered a bowl of olives since I love them. What I didn’t know is that Alex did not like olives and did not speak up about that. He ended up eating some of them and realized he did love them. I think we both push each other to try new things and I think that’s really healthy in a relationship. We eat olives all the time now haha.

- When did you know your partner was 'the one'?

I knew Alex was the one when he talked about a future with me in it with such ease and no doubt. Nobody had ever made me feel so secure and wanted like that.

-  How are you similar to one another? How do you compliment each other? (opposites attract!)

Alex & I have a similar, easy-going personality. We always want to bring a fun and genuine energy to everything we do in life. 

I have more of an artistic eye and Alex’s brain is more analytical, I can easily come up with an idea and Alex will help to problem-solve and figure out how to make it a reality.

- One thing you love about your partner.

One thing I love about Alex is how supportive he is. He has never said anything negative about all the thrift and estate sale finds I have crammed into our house and he is always my cheerleader.

-Why did you come to SKYDOG for an engagement ring? 

I love turquoise and Alex knew that the ring had to incorporate that with a diamond. Alex struggled to find a jeweler that wanted to work with him and create something that would fit my style. After getting turned down by a few jewelers, Alex finally came across SKYDOG after a friend recommended him. Jordan was able to take the time to listen to what Alex wanted and make suggestions on what would work and look best for the design.

- Tell us about the Ring!

Both of the rings feature turquoise stones. Alice’s engagement band has a diamond in the center and turquoise stones radiating around, the wedding band completes the circle of turquoise. Alex’s band is a very classic style with turquoise in the center.
